About the Book

Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved photography and I have loved God.

I know that the lens cannot quite capture what the eye can see. But hopefully through the mixture of two of His greatest gifts, His word and the earth that He spoke into existence, the beauty of God's creative force and his message will shine through.

I am always left in awe over the beauty in which the scriptures are sustained.

God's written Word is his love letters to his people. In them, I saw the handy work of his creativity, and it became clear to me that God, the author, was using certain passages to invoke vivid emotional images to teach his word.

This book is my attempt to bring those images to life. I hope I have succeeded in some measure.

THERESA McKENZIE, PHTOGRAPHER

Falling in love with photography has paid off handsomely for Theresa McKenzie, both financially and artistically. She started with a Polaroid Instamatic camera at age 10 and is now a professional working photographer.

She has taken wedding, baby, pregnancy, graduation and family portraits, but her real love is landscape and nature photography. She published a book combining her love of landscapes and her deep religious convictions entitled “Before He Rested”.

Theresa has started a greeting card company. Her cards range from serious to the comical, but all feature Theresa’s amazing photographs. All are best sellers. Miss McKenzie recently had a photograph published locally promoting “The River City” of Jacksonville, Florida.
