David, the second of 15 children of Lawrence and Betty Sedlacek, is on a journey to discover his roots historically, emotionally, spiritually and relationally. He is currently Professor of Family Ministry and Discipleship at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary. He is active in Journey to Wholeness, a Christ-centered 12 step program. He is married to Beverly, the love of his life, and together they are the parents of five children and twelve grandchildren.
