About the Book
William John McCluney was born in 1735, the son of Wife and Thomas McCluney. He married Margaret Johnston in 1772 in South Carolina. They had five children in 17 years. He died on October 22, 1833, in Chester, South Carolina, at the impressive age of 98, and was buried in Chester, South Carolina.
