Travel along with Patrick and Julie as they venture to central Mexico to meet up with their son. Watch as they are introduced to their daughter-in-law and grand daughter for the first time. Embark on the adventure as they help the young family move out of a ruined apartment into a new house in the mountains. Feel the joy turn into heartache as Patrick and Julie build relationships, but then have to return to the United States without their family. Patrick Mathias lives in Grand Rapids, Minnesota where he teaches writing at Itasca Community College and serves as assistant faculty advisor of Cru.
In his spare time he writes, works as a writing coach, and designs customized training. Patrick is married to his best friend Julie and has three adult children--Zach, Rachel and Taylor.
The family likes to spend time hunting, fishing, canoeing and camping.
