This book will represents fourty years of fire photography, both of fire apparatus and the fire ground. The journey has taken me to many different locations and many different events. To document the history of the fire service
As a boy my goal in life was to be a fire fighter, I followed the fire trucks when ever I could spoke with the fire fighters and attempted to learn as much as I could about fire fighting. As a young man I joined the Mutual Aid Fire Squad of Michigan, Inc. as a volunteer and spent 20 years with this group along with taking photos at fires when I could . i also started a collection of fire apparatus photos. When it was clear I would not be hired as a fire fighter I followed the fire photographer roll only taking photos to preserv the history of the fire service and to document the events of the day. This career as a civilian fire photographer has allowed me to work as a fire photographer for the Wayne, Garden City,Hazel Park, Novi Fire Departments and the Western Wayne Mutual Aid Haderous Materials response team and the Urban Search and Rescue team. Over the years I have taken and collected thousands of photographs.
