About Author
I was born September 3, 1967 in Royal Oak, Michigan the only daughter of Emily and Durward Dawson. When I was six months old my father took a position with the Great Western Sugar Company in Denver, Colorado so we could be closer to the family cabin nestled in the Rocky Mountains. When the cabin was built in 1932 the only part of the trees that could be seen out the window were their tops, which gave it the name it still has today, Tree Tops. The trees have grown over the years and the tops are now much higher than even the roof, but the cabin is still much the same as when it was first built. I have been blessed to have such a place, and have many wonderful memories tucked away of my childhood and times spent their with my family and friends. One of those friends is Kari, who has been in my life now for over thirty years. It is hard to believe that the time has passed that quickly. A couple of years ago when we were visiting we watched the movie “The Bucket List” and decided to write ones of our own. Writing a book was one of mine so here it is, a collection of forty stories about life and experiences. My hope is that you will enjoy getting to know me and perhaps will even think about the stories of your own life and write them down.
