About Author
I, Joanne Marie DeRiemaker Gidley, will try to chronicle here some of the events of our family's history. Hopefully, the familial feelings and reminiscences will inspire those children who are our descendents to hold pride in their heritage. Though the histories of the families included are by far not complete, our descendents may gain a glimpse of the how and why their ancestors immigrated to the United States. The stories relate just some of the family legends. I could not possibly recount all of the wonderful stories about each family.
