About Author
Ethel Yates was married to Fred Yates Her parents were Thomas Ryan {1853-1916) and Mary Ellen Ryan (1867-1933) She had sons and daughters along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Life was not always easy for her as she was plagued with Rheumatoid Arthritis. At that time there was little help for her condition. She spent a lot of time in bed due to the disease. Fortunately for her family this only increased her writing of poetry. Little did she know that her writings would be a family treasure for many years.
