- [ ] Toni Faile Lyerly was born in Holland and grew up on a boat in The Virgin Islands. She has lived in NYC, Tombstone AZ., North Carolina and now San Diego. She has written 15 children’s books about Jack the Penguin. She has made over 200 quilts since she was diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease in 2010.
