About Author
Dr. Arthur J. Ramirez holds a dual Master of Science degree in the fields of Community Clinical Psychology and Criminal Justice. He also holds a Doctorate Degree in the field of Criminology. He has over 47 years of work experience in the fields of criminal justice, mental health, social services, and university instruction. He has written numerous Budget Concept Statements and Budget Change Proposals for the State of California. He also wrote over 79 lesson plans for the Calif. State Div. of Adult Parole Operations Academy. He has held a Lecturer position for the California State University system for over 28 years. He served as the California Department of Corrections (CDC) Mgmt. voting member and CDC’s representative to the Commission on Correctional Peace Officer Standards and Training. Dr. Ramirez has supervised parole agents for the Division of Adult Parole Operations. He has been married to Susan for 59 years and has 4 daughters & five grandchildren. He is also a Vietnam Vet.
