Betty Kaplan is a Venezuelan American screenwriter and director who has brought to the screen major works by Isabel Allende, Esmeralda Santiago, Simon Bolivar, Carolina Garcia Aguilera, Romulo Gallegos and Eduardo Lalo.
She currently lives in San Juan Puerto Rico with her husband and three cats.
