Habitats in a garden are birds, butterflies, bees, toads, and other little creatures can find food, water, cover, and a place to raise their young; a place where there are no pesticides or herbicides used that would be unhealthy for these creatures or for people.

It's a place that's full of life—a very exciting place to be.

Lettuce uses the sun's energy to grow, the lettuce is eaten by the slug, which is eaten by the bird, which is in turn eaten by the cat. So the cat is making use of the sun's energy.
