Tara McGowan has a BFA in Performing Arts from Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas. She enjoys spending her time doing fabric design, photography, writing, painting, performing on stage and homeschooling her two daughters Kate and Claire. In 2011 she welcomed a new addition to the family and it is Kate and Claire's little brother Evan. Her books are inspired by the children in her life. Tara is a fabric designer at Spoonflower.
