Kirsten has long loved the education and escape that books can provide. Her passion for reading started young. Kirsten hopes that her books resonate with children the same way that some of her favorite authors' books "spoke" to her.

Thanks so much for all of your support! The outpouring of love has been amazing.
Yes, it is a true story. We loved Heidi so very much. She meant a great deal to us. I knew that many people could relate to the loss of a pet (essentially a family member) and I was compelled to share her story as a way to honor her memory. Plus, it was very healing for me.
At the very least, I hope Heidi's story lets others (children in particular) know they are not alone in their grief.
