The water glimmers with their passing as they journey to the beds of their birth, to reproduce and die from the exhausting ordeal. The call for this journey within the community is strong, but she resists. Taking her own path, she learns of the salmons great purpose and the connectivity between us all.

Alicia Millis lives and works out of her home in Calgary, Alberta Canada. She lives here with her husband Keith and three children. She is blessed to also share her love with three cats.
She has been writing since she first learned how to spell, discovering early on the power of the written word. Writing has been a part of her life as a means of creative expression and a therapeutic tool for as long as she can recall.
Alicia went to Mount Royal University and graduated as a Child and Youth Care Counsellor and later completed a Wedding Planner Certificate program, she has taken a Creative Non-Fiction writing course through the Alexander Writing Centre and is apart of writers groups and forums. She has had many unique career opportunities and life experiences, giving her lots of inspiration for her written works.
