Herbert waits each year on the pond outside a small town. This town is in an area that is hard for Santa to find. Herbert stays behind when the other birds fly south just so he can guide Santa to the town. On Christmas Eve Herbert waits until he hears Santa’s sleigh. When he hears the bells of Santa’s sleigh Herbert let’s out a mighty call that guides Santa to the town.
