I grew up on a farm in Connecticut. I spent much of my adult life living in Asia, teaching at international schools. Some years in between, I taught in Nevada prisons. These are the many tales of my three lives--the places, the people, the experiences. From the every day to the unexpected, what have I learned to know and how have I learned to think from these, my three worlds?

I have taught at International Schools across Asia since 1974 from Sapporo and Tokyo to Rangoon, from Dongdukchon to Medan, from Bangkok to Beijing. I am now retired and living in the U.S.A.
I have three children and have spent my latter years living with two white cats from Beijing and another street cat from Chicago. If I could, I would have bought a cottage in the west of Ireland and retired there, but instead I have spent most of the last seven years outside Chicago. I currently reside in the Bay Area.
Most of my writing has focused on Burmese Buddhism. I also have poetry from the past 25 years in manuscript.
