About the Book
Young Sarah Waters is forced by the Canadian government to leave her family, friends and her home on the reserve. Sarahs'culture is being abolished by Christianity when she is sent to a residential school in upper Canada. Sarah musn't speak her Aboriginal language, she may only speak English.
