This is a story about my experiences creating Christmas displays for my home and yard over a period of ten years. Each was an "original," usually inspired by scenes from Christmas cards I had received. Each display involved the participation of friends and family, often using "found objects." The activity of creating each one provided me with countless hours of joy and satisfaction.
An earlier book, "The Trials and Trails of Santa and His Reindeer" published in July 2010, describes the most recent display I completed.
This story will not be a sequel to "Santa." It is just the opposite, going back to the very beginning, a decade before Santa and his musical team entered the scene.

Fern Shepherd is 90 years old, and in spite of the "golden years" becoming somewhat tarnished due to restricted breathing capacity and drastically impaired vision, she still has a sunshine outlook on life, providing enough energy and interest to write a second book, "In the Beginning...God said, 'Let There Be Light'" (Genesis 1:1,3).
