Into the Mind of an Older Teenaged Girl is a collection of original poetry I wrote throughout my high school life. It's actually a sequel to a shorter poetry book I wrote that was a collection of poems I wrote in middle school. When I was in high school, I had trouble managing my emotions, so by writing poems, I could distance myself from my feelings while expressing them at the same time. One day when I was looking at the sheer amount of little scraps of paper with poems written on them that I had, I figured, why not just make them into a book?
The poetry I write now is a lot more private and personal, so I probably won't be creating another poetry book anytime soon. Still, I feel like this book is a very accurate representation of not only my experience as a teenage girl but also a representation that a lot of other teenage girls can identify with.

I am 16, in the 10th grade and my life is amazing. And, I'm also completely not sarcastic, all the time. Like, I never ever ever use sarcasm.
