ISTVAN ~ THE LIFE OF STEVE RAGALYI JR tells the story of the son of Hungarian immigrants who left the deadly coal mines of West Virginia to seek a better life farming in Ohio, only to experience tragedy and uncertainty while struggling to raise their young family during the Great Depression. From his difficult childhood experiences, Steve derived strength that would serve him well throughout his life. ISTVAN tells Steve's story in his own handwriting and through photographs taken with his family, in the military, and on the farm that he so dearly loved.

I live in northeastern Ohio with my amazingly supportive and patient husband, Jim, our two beautiful daughters, Kristen and Kaitlyn, our Shih Tzus, Coco and Wally, and cats, Squeaky and Lulu. When I'm not writing, I'm thinking about writing. When I'm not thinking about writing, it's only because I'm distracted by my job in the Medical Records department at UPMC Horizon Hospital in Greenville, Pennsylvania.
