About the Book
This is a book of writings found after my mother passed away. These are writings about her childhood and her life. I wanted to preserve them for her grandchildren and great grandchildren and to give her family something to treasure. The fabric of all of our family histories is woven together with cherished stories and memories linking one generation to another. This is my gift to my family in an effort to preserve those treasures.

The author is Jennie's daughter, Sharon. Born Sharon Olivia Smith to Jennie Ida Merrill and Richard Stanley Smith on July 12, 1953. Predeceased by a brother, Stephen Edward Smith, born January 7, 1959, who died April 2, 2006, and survived by her husband Eugene Frederick Brooks.
