Tacoya Alexander was born in Salisbury, North Carolina back in the 1990's.At a very early age her family moved to Orlando, Florida, where she attended Elementary School. They soon moved to Georgia. As a child she was adventurous, and was always wondering about things. She was a very loquacious child, and she also loved stories. She would listen to her great grandmother tell her the stories of her great grandfather, and her late uncle. It was one day when she spoke up a conversation with her late uncle and her grandmother when she decided she wanted to write a book, not just an ordinary book but a book about her life. This is her very first book asigned by her favorite teacher when she was in the 12th grade(Ms. Bonnie Waring). A book for kids. A book she wanted to write.
