Jan was born in the town of Carey, Ohio. His small town upbringing laid the foundation for his fierce loyalty and love that he has always shown to friends and family. Jan is a loving husband, father of three, and grandfather of eight. His faith, giving spirit, and sense of humor have been a gift and inspiration to the lives he's touched. This gift of his poetry is one to be treasured.
