About Author
Jennie grew up in a suburb near Detroit with her two sisters. She earned her degree in French Studies at the University of Michigan then left for New York City to begin a career. After two years of working in the fashion industry, she returned to Michigan to start a family and now lives in Clarkston, MI with her husband and three children. She loves to read to her children and wanted to create a book to pass down to future generations.
Erin Maday, the illustrator, is the author's younger sister. She studied graphic design and fine art at Wayne State University and has been an elementary school art teacher for 9 years. She lives in Grosse Pointe, MI with her husband and two sons. She enjoys painting and creating other art in her spare time.
