Vironika Hulden's life in her hometribe Fortis has been a tough one, where there are no laws against murder or theivery. Being the youngest in the family, her brothers and sisters have all moved away towards a better life and future, abondoning her with her weak mother.

On that winter's day, Vironika discovers the true power within herself, the power to kill with a simple thought of the mind, and to seize control of another living body, but this is limited, limited by the needs, wants, and pain that stir up within her soul and mind.

Set by fate, Vironika must learn to overcome her human needs in order to demolish the ravaging war and tyranny that has seperated the Nation and increased the contol of Xona.
