The Art In Motion 8th Grade Class of 2022 has worked diligently to showcase their enduring understanding that "Poetry" is a form of a unique expression through emotion and creative ideas.
Our young urban poets have crafted sound, structure, and language to create intensity, expressing their perseverance in a world contending with a global pandemic and all the other adversity perpetuated through the land.

In our first full year of completing "in-person" learning at the very first creative arts school on the Southside of Chicago, Art In Motion, the student's artistic expression became pivotal as they acclimated to life post-pandemic. As a Middle School ELA teacher, it is imperative to allow students to engage in self-expression in order to grow and develop. I am proud to have the pleasure of providing this platform for the students to express their creativity through various forms of poetry. We are honored to share with the world, a taste of the "AIM Class of 2022's" talents. Graduating 8th grade is the beginning, we will conquer and possess the land promised to us by any means necessary.
