Artemys Sterling was just an average working girl. She had her own place, her own car, and a decent job. One day, her world changed forever as she learned two things: 1. She is a mage, a magical being that can do extraordinary things and 2. She has Guardians.
These Guardians were sent by the magical Council of Elders to find, train, and bring Artemys to them before the enemy can get to her first; and possibly use her for great evil.
As she travels with her Guardians, A.J. And Spencer, Artemys learns that other magical beings actually exist such as werewolves and vampires...and that her Guardians are one of each! She also learns a good bit about herself as well.
She knows A.J can be trusted because he’s been a beloved friend to her for years. But there’s something about Spencer that Artemys just isn’t sure about.
As the trio draw closer to the Council of Elders, the tensions grow. What is Spencer hiding from Artemys and A.J.? Why does Artemys keep having nightmares that convince her that going to the Council is a mistake? Are they playing right into the hands of the mysterious enemy? And can everyone survive the encounter to come or will they be forever scarred by the experience?
