Marguerite's Diary is a sequel to Laura H. Pearl’s award-winning Catholic novel Erin’s Ring, published by Bezalel Books in 2014. It was written as a gift for some granddaughters who loved that book and wanted more. Set in Peshtigo, Wisconsin at the time of the great fire on October 8, 1871, Marguerite’s Diary is a riveting historical fiction tale that includes the two extraordinary miracles (one Eucharistic, one Marian) that took place during that tragedy. The story is filled with endearing characters, hard-working Belgian immigrants who came to this country to find a better life and lived through the worst firestorm in US history.
