Max is an eight year old school boy from Chandler , Arizona. As a class project after reading the book Flat Stanley, his teacher sent Max's Flat Stanley to his Grandma and asked her to take Flat Stanley with her on her travels. As it turned out, Max came to visit his Grandparents at the same time as Flat Stanley so they got to do all the adventures together.
