Brenda Brayko loved teaching high school English for more than 30 years in Wisconsin, South Korea, and Hong Kong. With her husband and two children, Brenda repatriated to Green Bay, Wisconsin, in 2021. She is an adoptive parent and parent of a transgender child, a unique journey that catalyzed a deep dive into self-care and seeking balance. She is the author of Life Cheat Sheets, a weekly newsletter at brendabrayko.substack.com, maintains a personal blog at greenbaytokorea.blogspot.com and has been a contributing writer to WWIATW.com. Brenda is an avid reader and lifelong poet. She earned a B.A. in English at Luther College in Decorah, IA, and an M.S. in education at the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay. She is the owner of Celestial Sound gong studio, which seeks to bring balance to one’s mind, body, and spirit through the rich resonances of a gong.
