This story is dedicated to my two sons, Rishi Lalbahadur and Sanjay Lalbahadur for being my two wonderful emerald banana trees that grew into successful, kind young men. They shine like true emeralds in my life. My husband is also the fruit of our hearts, for he is the harmonious sweetness of love in our lives.
This is a fictional love story that takes place in West Bengal, India in the early twentieth century. Two young people fall deeply in love under the emerald banana tree, despite being from two different cultures. Shalini is Indian from West Bengal, and Patrick is from Ireland.
The emerald banana tree keeps their love flowing like a running river, despite the heartaches they have to endure.
This unique love story will touch your heart with a smile and yet; a river of tear drops you will shed.
