Inspired by the bond I share with my feline-best-friends and the joy of studying Laozi’s Tao Te Ching/Dao De Jing (道德經), I wrote Meow De Jing (貓的經). A certain spiritual affinity exists between the nature of felines and the essence of the Tao/Dao, which compelled me to bring this book to life. There are eighty-one chapters in the Dao De Jing. I translated each chapter based on the original text with minor modifications from the feline’s perspective.
The original Dao De Jing text and its English translation are attached in Appendix A, decorated with some of my artwork.
