This book is based on a true story of my grandfather, Marshall Bailey Vines, who was born in 1929, the year the Great Depression began. It tells of some of the many surprising adventures he experienced growing up in the south.

Meredith Jones lives is S.C. and is a rising sophmore. She enjoys gymnastics, tubing on the lake, playing with her pets, hanging out with friends, and raving. She also loves the beach! Meredith is planning on having a career in costume or interior design.
