High school is an awkward and fun 4 years of life. In just 4 years you grow into a completely different person than that awkward brace faced 14 year old 4 years ago. Growing up I was always told that high school would be the best time of my life and that if I live through it too fast I’ll regret it. That worked for “normal” teens but for me it didn’t. High school was the longest 4 years of my life and it felt endless. My only good memories were playing volleyball and basketball, they were my way of escaping all the bullying. Even now my family says I wasn't bullied and that I was going to a very accepting school. Unfortunately that wasn't true for me. They didn't walk the halls like I did everyday. They didn't hear the remarks I heard and they didn't get held up to the wall by their throat like I did just because someone thought I was annoying. No, for me high school was the worst time of my life.
