This book is about a boy named Steve who didn't listen to his mother when she was trying to help him. As a result he ended up injuring himself. The moral is that if he would have just listened to his mother than all of those troubles could have easily been prevented. He learns the lesson at the end which is what this book is trying to reach to younger children. Always listen to your parents because they are the one's that have your back no matter what and they wouldn't do anything to hurt you.
