At Lexington Elementary School, Mothers day is coming up and for mothers day they are having a mother daughter day to celebrate with there Mother. Kaley dreads mothers day because she doesn't lhave a real mom, and she is teased because Becka and Jessica doesn't think she should call her foster mom, Mother. Haley 's friend America stands up for Haley.

My name is April Holman, and i was a young girl in foster care who started to dread Mothers Day because i thought i couldn't make my mother a Mother's Day card, i couldn't make one at all, But i learned my Godmother was my parent, she was always there for me and stuck by my side, so she should be appreciated on Mothers Day like any other mother. I am one who has made it out of foster care and i have a passion to help and teach young girls and boys threw there situation.
