Audrey's favorite animal at her Grandma and Grandpa's house is Mousy. Mousy isn't very big and has a crooked pink nose, plump tummy, and can be very naughty. After Audrey and Grandma take him on an adventure for a day, he decides to have his own adventure. He is going to find Audrey and surprise her. So he sets off one day with his backpack full of cheese, crackers and his newspaper. On the way, he realizes the world's a lot bigger than he thought. He gets lost and Audrey and Grandma come to the rescue.

Audrey Hackforth is five years old and her Grandma is much much older. When Audrey visits her grandma's house, they create all sorts of adventures for Mousy. Audrey and her grandma live in the Monterey Bay area and some of their favorite things to do together, besides creating Mousy stories, are swimming, playing on the beach, reading, roller skating, and dancing. Audrey loves waffles, Pet Shop, and making friends. Panda is her other favorite animal who lives at home with her. Grandma loves gardening, hiking, and playing marimba.
