Description

ONCE UPON A TIME THERE WAS A CREATURE. HIS NAME WAS MUGWUMP.
HE WAS NOT A PERSON. NO, HE WAS A CREATURE. HE WAS NOT AN ANIMAL OR A BIRD OR A FISH OR A PLANT. HE WAS A CREATURE. WHAT DID MUGWUMP LOOK LIKE? HE LOOKED LIKE A BIG GREEN BLOB! MUGWUMP HAD EYES, NOSE AND MOUTH AND EARS BUT ONLY CHILDREN
COULD SEE THEM. GROWN-UPS COULD NOT SEE THEM. MUGWUMP DID
NOT WALK FROM HERE TO THERE. HE OOZED. GROWN UPS COULD NOT
SEE MUGWUMP OOZE, BUT CHILDREN COULD. NOW MUGWUMP HAD LIKES AND DISLIKES AS DO ALL LIVING THINGS: TREES, BIRDS, PEOPLE, ANIMALS, ETC. MUGWUMP DISLIKED IT WHEN CHILDREN WERE UNHAPPY. HE LIKED, REALLY LIKED HELPING CHILDREN. ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, ANY WAY HE COULD HE TRIED TO HELP CHILDREN.
