About Author
I am Rose Lisi's granddaughter (born in 1979) and live in Seattle with my husband, Mitch and son, Emerson. This journey of documentation, shared with my Grandmother, has been an incredible gift. She has openly shared so much of her life with me, moments of happiness as well as deep sadness, which has not only brought us closer but gave me a deeper meaning in my own life. I feel more connected to my heritage, my bloodline, my religious upbringing, and the history of our country. It is my hope that others may read this memoir one day and appreciate it for exactly what it is: a view into Rose’s life, and from that, they may understand themselves a bit better through her eyes.
