My Name Is Detrah, And My Father Is Death

My name is Detrah. I have no last name. I do not go to school. Most people cannot see me. Nor can they hear me.

My father is Death. He is the bringer of death.

He is merciless. As am I. Or so I thought.

My entire life I have stolen the souls of those whose time is up. I have given them to my father who feeds on these souls. I was born human, a mix of my father and a human soul. The Death part comes in with my ability to extract souls and become either invisible to the human eye or visible on my command.

My newest client is named Felix Barter.

He spent his life selling drugs. He does not take drugs. His time is up. It is time for me to take him.

But after careful speculation, I have realized something.

This man is unkillable.

I cannot do it.

I am unforgivable.

I will be killed.
