Adelina da Silva was born in the Island of Fogo, Cabo Verde. She immigrated to the United States in 1976. She taught ESL and ELA in Boston Public Schools for three decades and published Echoes of the Tides, a book of poems, in 2008. This book was re-published by readersmagnet.com in 2012. Adelina has also several published poems in Portuguese.
