Nani (Lidia Erice) arrived from Cuba in 1961 with her husband and children. Her favorite room in the house was the kitchen and whether visiting or living, she would take over the kitchen and re-name it Nani's Kitchen.

Maggie Erice Avery wrote this cookbook after Nani passed away. It is dedicated to her son and Nani's favorite grandson, Reuben.
