TESTIMONY
I met Kalyssa in the 9tin grade while enrolled in cooking class. After a few classes later, she invited me to bible study. Then she invited me to church the following Sunday. I accepted Christ on the 2006 high school houseboat trip. For Christmas in 2006 I received my first bible. Then I got baptized on the 2007 houseboat trip.
Since the day I met Kalyssa. She has turned my life around. Before I met her, I was about to make some pretty bad choices that would have negative consequences. I have met some great friends and I am making better choices now since Kalyssa invited me to bible study. I go to church every Sunday and I am involved in the youth group. I thank Kalyssa very much for helping me turn my life around. I honestly do not know where I’d be now if I hadn’t met her. I also met new friends on the winter retreat and got to know others better. I will say my life is better now. I can’t believe what god has thrown at me, but its ok I know god is with me every minute of it.
God encouraged me to come out of my comfort zone. He said, “Go on the 2008 mission trip,” I here it is a life changing experience. I was unable to go to México because of some personal medical problems I was dealing with at the time. When I was a senior in high school I stepped out in faith and did young life for the very first time. Young life is a club for Christians and people who do not believe in Christ as our savior. Young life is still a great place to grow spiritually. All leaders are there wanting to help you grow in your faith or they can help if you want more information on Our Lord and Savior they are also always there for you if you ever need someone to talk to or need help.
Kalyssa and I joined the Christian club on campus at school. I was the vice president and Kalyssa was president. I have had to go through some pretty hard times. If I did not know our lord and savior I would not have been able to get through them. I thank god everyday for being there for me through the hard times and easy times. When I get in fights with my family I try my best to go to my room instead of fighting back. One thing I pray for every night is that my family will come to get to know our lord and savior. I am now in college and it has been a rude awakening when I started in late summer early fall of 2009 I lost contact from God. I ended up running away from home finally in October of 2009 I was able to work things out and I started back to church. In spring 2010 I was making better choices about school and started to focus on my school work. That is when I was asked if I would like to help/ volunteer in a special education preschool class at Croce Elementary School. It is now summer 2010 and I am helping out with Vacation Bible School. I feel every day since I became a Christian my life is changing and I am becoming a better person.
