During the course of my life, I have been witness to many great American accomplishments and many tradegies. These events have left an impression on my life. Through this book I attempt to impliment those impressions into the lives of the McNeil family. While hiding from terrorist in the mountains of North Carolina, Carl McNeil explains to his grandson how life in America used to be at it's height; the Full Moon. Carl correlates key moments of his life as well as American history with the phases of the moon. As Carl teaches his family how to survive in the wilderness, he recounts the events that he believes brought on America's demise.
