I have been painting for 30 years and have exhibited both locally and nationally. My art is colorful, whimsical and illustrative. Playing the violin had a large influence on my art. Images of my paintings have been featured on the covers of music magazines and journals, for Ekphrastic Writing Challenge, on greeting cards, and invitations for nonprofit organizations.
The University Women’s and Children’s Hospital purchased 10 of my paintings to be installed by spring 2023 in examination rooms, waiting areas, and hallways.
The Ecumenical Center featured four of my paintings on their 2022 Christmas Cards. My poems with accompanying paintings have been published in Voices de la Luna Art and Literature Journal. Also, have a mural, Cuentos de mi Vida at the Las Palmas Public Library Meeting Room in San Antonio. Have self-published several books on Bookemon.com and one on Amazon. Website: cardsbysonya.com
