About Author
“Not ALL Worms Are Gross” is an original picture book inspired by the author Febronia Mansour’s independent research project on glial cells in the C. elegans nematode.
Febronia Mansour is a senior at Guilderland High School and hopes to study biology throughout college and beyond.
This research project consists of experimentation done in conjunction with the Norman Lab at Albany Medical Center and under the guidance of Mr. Bott and Mrs. Gergen, coordinators of the class Exploring with Mindful Creativity and Curiosity at Guilderland High School. The question being explored in this study surrounds glial cell morphology with respect to transgenes replicating Alzheimer’s Disease - like conditions in humans.
