This is a journal of my journey building a log home for my family back in 1990, with the help of many friends, family members, and relying so much on the Lord. It was a challenge and quite a process, but definitely worth it!

Patrick Mathias lives in Grand Rapids, Minnesota where he teaches writing at Itasca Community College and serves as the Faculty Advisor of Campus Crusade (Cru).
In his spare time he writes, works as a writing coach, and designs customized training. Patrick is married to his best friend Julie and has three adult children--Zach, Rachel and Taylor.
The family likes to spend time hunting, fishing, canoeing and camping.
