Opalee Blind and her family is moving from Yellowstone Park to help those in need, in the Brier Patch community. Brier Patch has been affected by the Coal Ashe Spill. The Coal Ashe Spill has devastated the community.
Opalee is resistant to the move because of her feelings of fear and sadness.
Once settled in Brier Patch Opalee's feelings change and she learns to develop compassion for others.

Tara France and Susie Lucas are child care providers who decided because of their years of experience with children they wanted to write a book. They love their profession so writing a book to reach the little people who touch their hearts was inevitable.
