Our Class Giving Tree - based on The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein

"The Giving Tree" tells the story of a boy and his tree. Throughout the book, the tree gives all that it has to offer the boy; however, as the boy gets older, he asks more of the tree. The boy asks the tree to give so much in order to find happiness that in the end the tree has nothing left to offer. The reader sees that the tree finds true happiness through giving.
